what a day.emotional day for me !? as well as for my dear prissy heh.
Great week. Started attachment at NUS med lab doing PCR, Gel, mainly research stuff. so i'm providing free labour in a sense. no pay, no allowance. Monday was the shittiest day (because the moment i reached the lab i felt like shitting. badly. haha. thus the whole day was ruined. ALex my cousin first intro-ed me to the people, toured the labs and NUH service block. Read the freaking boring safety manual (!!!) and basically just watched alex do PCR and gel. tues was my turn to do PCR and gel. lots of pipetting, and strangely my controls didnt seem to appear in the gel. haha i'm quite paranoid at ethidium bromide (potential mutagen) so il'd take extra precaution handling it. wed and thurs, my cousin was sick so igot leave too. spent my day at val's house blogshopping!? and teaching her stats which she hates xxxxx haha. lump popped over at night before i headed home! we should spend more time together :/
ballet on thurs was great. unexpectedly.BUT i was like omg when sinasi stepped into the studio. william's not teaching us anymore cus of his injury :((( but i loved class, great combis.
fri was prolly the best day. i had to redo my samples since the controls didnt appear on the post-pcr results. Now alex would just observe and only let me know if i did something wrong. and i guess i cant stop laughing when ALex watches me load dna into the gel wells. because the wells are really small and hard to feel so must be really focused when doing that. but his comments, well are not funny at all (like serious) but i thought they were -_- and then my hand cramped while pipetting the 2nd last dna sample. lol i could see that he looked exasperated in a funny way. :DDD had dinner w him too.
